As an IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of the IT infrastructure so that end-users can perform their jobs under the best conditions. You will provide daily first and second-line support, assisting end-users with IT issues both over slack a ticketing tool and on-site.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for all IT-related issues via Slack or in-person.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries, diagnose, and troubleshoot technical issues, and provide solutions or escalate as necessary.
  • Perform initial triage of incidents and service requests, ensuring timely resolution or escalation to appropriate teams.
  • Provide user account management support, including password resets, access permissions, and account creation.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, including setting up user accounts, email addresses, and access permissions.
  • Monitor IT systems, networks, and applications to identify and report potential issues.
  • Provide advanced technical support for escalated issues that cannot be resolved at the first line.
  • Conduct in-depth troubleshooting and analysis of complex technical problems, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
  • Collaborate with HR and department managers to ensure all necessary hardware, software, and access rights are provisioned for new employees.
  • Conduct offboarding procedures for departing employees, including disabling accounts, collecting company assets, and ensuring data security measures are followed.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to update documentation and remove access rights for terminated or transferred employees in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee IT assets, access privileges, and onboarding/offboarding activities for auditing and compliance purposes.


Your Winning Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a similar role providing first and second line IT support, including onboarding and offboarding responsibilities, is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in Windows and macOS environments, including desktop and server operating systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Basic knowledge of MDM tools is required (e.g., Intune and Jamf Pro). 
  • Hands-on experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Slack).
  • Understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, and user account management.
  • Demonstrated quality to work collaboratively and independently as needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely to non-technical users both in Dutch and English.
  • Strong customer service orientation, with a focus on providing timely and effective support to end-users.
  • Capacity to remain calm and focused under pressure, prioritizing tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving, with a willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving IT environments.
